About Us
Our Story
The story of the Safari Strivers Foundation is one of hope and determination. It began with Elie Imani and Josue Manishimwe, brothers who were fortunate enough to escape poverty when they came to study in the United States. However, they never forgot their roots and felt a strong desire to help those who were not as fortunate as they were. Their vision was to see a united Africa where its citizens were empowered to reach their full potential and contribute to the continent’s overall prosperity. Read More
What We Do
Education
Everything we do at Safari Strivers is centered on education, from the young to the adults. We operate under a trimester system to ensure that quality education is accessible to all. Our nursery program offers a golden opportunity for young minds to flourish, with a reasonable fee of just $75 per semester. Read More
Sustainable Farming
At Safari Strivers, we are committed to ensuring sustainable income opportunities through business within the community in Rwanda. While education is our foundational pillar, we aim to take a step further by implementing practical initiatives that empower the Batwa to thrive economically. Read More
Food Security
At Safari Strivers, we’re committed to Batwa community food security via our “ice cream and coffee model.” It may sound unbelievable, but the simple act of donating money used to buy one ice cream or a cup of coffee can make a world of difference. With less than $5, you can provide a nutritious meal that can feed a child for an entire day. It’s a small contribution that can have a big impact. Read More
Health care
Another pivotal reason behind our mission at Safari Strivers is our unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare access within the Batwa community. The right to quality healthcare is a fundamental human entitlement, yet it remains an immense challenge for many in marginalized communities. Read More
With Your Help, We are Making The World a Better Place
The Safari Strivers Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to empowering African children through education. The name “Safari Strivers” represents the challenging journey these children undertake to attain an education and the grit and determination they possess to overcome any obstacles in their path. The Safari Strivers Foundation will strive to build capacity and provide means to achieve innovative and quality education for the most marginalized and poorest African children. We have started our initial phase of operations in Rwanda and aim to expand our footprint to Burundi
