Moving forward in the educational journey, our middle school boarding facilities provide a nurturing environment for students, where they receive not only a quality education but also access to nutritious meals and a home. At just $300 per semester, we aim to remove financial barriers and create a holistic learning experience.

As students progress into high school, our commitment to their growth remains steadfast. For $600 per semester, we continue to provide an educational haven that fosters leadership and community engagement.

Our dedication to education extends beyond the classroom. During school breaks, we ensure that our students continue to receive training and nutritious meals, fostering their holistic development. We believe that by investing in the youth of today, we are paving the way for brighter, more equitable futures.

But education doesn’t stop with the youth. We recognize the importance of lifelong learning, and for adults, we provide vocational training in essential skills such as bakery, mechanics, carpentry, agriculture, and sewing. This empowers them to move beyond physically demanding jobs and gain economic independence.

At Safari Strivers, education is not just a means to an end; it is the cornerstone of empowerment. Our mission is clear: to break the cycle of poverty by providing equal educational opportunities to the underserved in Rwanda. Through scholarships, financial support, and well-equipped boarding schools, we are not only transforming the lives of young individuals but also nurturing the future leaders of our communities.

One of our key initiatives is the Goat Farming Initiative. We provide training and support to Batwa families to raise goats efficiently. Goats are valuable assets that serve as a source of income. They multiply rapidly, creating a sustainable source of livelihood. We also ensure the continuity of this initiative by offering medical assistance and replacements in case of sickness or loss, guaranteeing the long-term success of the program.

Additionally, we envision the establishment of stores where Batwa community members can sell their goods. These stores will serve as platforms for economic growth, allowing them to market and sell their products effectively. Moreover, we aim to secure land for collective farming, enabling them to grow crops collectively and access broader markets for agricultural produce.

We also plan to open mechanic, bakery, and carpentry stores to ensure that, after training, there are opportunities for self-employment.

All of these initiatives are able to happen partly because they align with the collective nature of the Batwa community, as collaboration and shared resources are integral to their culture. By focusing on collective efforts and sustainable income-generating activities, we are paving the way for economic empowerment that goes beyond traditional labor-intensive jobs.
